Hello, I’m Alison, and I’m here to help you find the right solution for your health and wellness challenges.
At 58 years old I was facing another surgery for a hip condition I have struggled with my whole life. This time I really had no idea what would happen to my limited ability to walk. Everything I loved doing, as well as the simple things we all take for granted in daily living was making me feel very vulnerable and I struggled with finding support for my feelings.
Waiting a year and half for the surgery, because of its complicated nature, gave me a lot of time to think about what I wanted to do at this point in life.
It had always been difficult to talk about myself, feelings of being not good enough, feeling that my experiences had no value to anyone.
Throughout the work of rebuilding my health I realized my potential to help others was a gift I needed to share.
One of the reasons I love the work of coaching is that I can help make a difference in the lives of my clients; listening and supporting the decisions people make for themselves. I believe we all need the support of others at times when we are searching for answers to change.
Focusing on primary food—building and strengthening emotional connections in relationships, the work we do for our livelihood, as well as our community. What we do for our physical wellbeing, and finding enjoyment and fun in life—is what all of us want for living a happy life. Finding balance in all of these areas can be challenging. I provide support and guidance in the way you find that balance. Giving yourself permission and having compassion for yourself can unleash the potential you might not have believed is there.
Secondary food—the food we eat to sustain our bodies is also a key ingredient for living well and staying healthy throughout life. Without it our primary foods can languish. It is very important to eat a healthy diet. That means different foods to different people.
